Paper 1 : Principles and Practices of Accounting
Covers topics such as accounting principles, preparation and presentation of financial statements, partnership accounts, company accounts, accounting for special transactions and non-profit organizations.
Paper 2: Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting
Divided into two parts. Part A covers business laws and acts. Part B covers business correspondence and reporting which includes topics such as communication skills, formal and informal communication, report writing and e-mail etiquette.
Paper 3: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and Statistics
Divided into two parts. Part A covers business mathematics including topics like ratio and proportion, indices and logarithms, equations and inequalities, simple and compound interest, etc. Part B covers logical reasoning and statistics which includes topics such as statistical description of data, measures of central tendency and dispersion, probability theory, correlation, and regression.
Paper 4: Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge
Divided into two parts. Part A covers business economics which has topics such as micro and macroeconomics, price determination, Indian economy and reforms, money and banking. Part B covers business and commercial knowledge which includes topics like business environment, organizations facilitating business, government policies for business growth and common business terminologies.

Eligibilty
1. Educational Qualification
Indian Students: Must have completed Class 12 (Senior Secondary) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or institution.
Students appearing in their Class 12 exams can also register provisionally but must clear the exam before appearing for the CA Foundation exam.
Foreign Students: Must have completed a qualification equivalent to Class 12, recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
2. Minimum Age
There is no minimum or maximum age limit for enrollment in the CA Foundation course.
3. Registration with ICAI
Candidates must register with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the CA Foundation course.
Registration should typically be completed at least four months before the exam:

4. Direct Entry Exceptions
Students who have completed Graduation or Post-Graduation (Commerce or Non-Commerce) with specified marks or are qualified in Intermediate level exams of ICSI/ICMAI can bypass the Foundation level and register directly for the Intermediate course.
5. Required Documents for Registration
Class 10 and 12 mark sheets (or equivalent proof for provisional registration).
Proof of Date of Birth (if not mentioned in school certificates).
Recent passport-sized photographs.
A valid email ID and mobile number for communication.
6. Fee Structure
The total fee for registration is approximately ₹9,800 (subject to revision by ICAI), which includes the cost of study materials and registration fees.
